When taking over Kool-Aid's social accounts in March 2019, our clients had one very specific request: The only thing Kool-Aid Man can say on Twitter is 'OH YEAH.'
At first, I thought to myself, "HA! How's that ever going to work?" And then, I actually thought about it. At which point I realized, "It's genius!"
Using nothing but Kool-Aid Man's classic "OH YEAH" - and hashtags to provide context - it was my job to keep the daily content feed feeling fresh while still getting Kool-Aid's brand message across.
As a writer, I was thoroughly intrigued by the challenge.
Now, I'd dabbled with ASCII art when writing for other brands, but my creativity was able to take on a life of its own when it came to crafting Kool-Aid tweets.
And eventually, I created the top performing Volume Model tweet in VaynerMedia history!
